#vFairs grew 10 fold in 2020 from 20 odd people to 200+ in 9 months (by the Grace of Allah).
This hyper-growth didn't come without lessons. Here's how we pulled it off:
Sourcing: For positions with several vacancies, it was all about pipelining. We quickly identified & doubled down on a couple of good-fit university alumni networks. We religiously connected with suitable profiles on LI 7 days a week. LI Recruiter helped tons.
Evaluation: We ran through a lean but solid checklist. We looked for a strong work history, decent portfolio (for content/design roles), video assessment and assignments for tech roles. This was coupled with insanely strong follow ups to keep candidates moving along.
Interviewing: evaluators blocked a slot daily where HR could push in interviews without asking them. Panel interviews (multiple evaluators) sped the process a lot.
Hiring: We had clear salary brackets for each role & well rehearsed objection handling narratives to maintain efficiency at the offer point.
Onboarding: we used a 2-week long buddy system and a LMS with precorded videos to fast track people to productivity.
Finally, the secret sauce was daily coordination between leadership & HR to agree on priorities & strategy.
As a Product Manager, you might be asked a lot of questions during an interview. One of them includes technical questions. Here are 4 types of technical questions that you might come across.
