Fear of the Unknown

Children will often say they are afraid of being alone in the dark.

But that's not the real fear.

What they're actually afraid of is NOT being alone.

Think about it.

The thought of having an unknown presence in their vicinity is what really terrifies them (would terrify anyone to be honest).

Nothing would be more haunting than turning on the light to see something that wasn't there before.

Now, I know what you're thinking.

"Aatir, where the heck are you going with this?"

Well, when a QA tells me that they just found a single bug in an outgoing release, I'm afraid as a PM.

I'm scared that when the release hits production (the lights are turned on), it's not the only one in the room.

Boo.
