An SEM Campaign

Do you know what a margay is?

Margays are a small species of cats that live in the rainforests of Brazil.

They're like the mini-me versions of tigers.

Cute. Cuddly. But devilishly cunning.

They can climb vertically down trees & typically, prey on forest monkeys called tamarins.

Now, while observing a specific margay, animal researchers were fascinated by its hunting technique.

This margay used vocal mimicry to sound like a baby tamarin.

Curious, a nearby group of tamarins drew closer to the source of the cries. They were expecting to see a little tamarin they could befriend.

However, when they got to the spot, the margay clumsily revealed itself. Disappointed, the tamarins scattered & scurried off.

The researchers concluded that margays were highly effective in attracting prey. However, their finishing isn't always clinical.

They probably need to take a few notes from their cousins in Africa.

It's like SEM campaigns.

You may have beautifully-worded alluring paid ads on search and social with snazzy graphics.

But if the landing page they link to isn't as impressive or simply doesn't resonate with your audience, they're probably going to bounce.

Attract like a margay. Finish like a tiger.
